Bruce Auclair is a Senior Sales Engineer at Server Technology in Reno, Nevada where he assists with a wide variety of sales efforts and engineering projects.

Bruce has worked in the computer and communications industries since joining Server Technology in 1990 as a technical writer and Support Technician.  Having an emphasis for Quality and diplomacy, he quickly rose to the position of Technical Support Director and simultaneously began to manage Server Technology's domestic assembly operations and assist custom product development tasks.  Over the ensuing decade Bruce developed many of the company's Quality Assurance test systems and procedures, wrote most of the company's Installation & Operations Manuals/User's Guides, consistently met Production deadline demands, and provided post-sales Technical Support at a consistently high level often referred to by customers as "the best they've ever received".

Bruce's hands-on experience for over a decade gained him an intricate knowledge of all Server Technology hardware and, in late 2000, Bruce transitioned to the Sales team to help educate Sales Representatives, address customer's technical issues, and contribute to an overall increase in the company's sales volume though direct customer contact and on-site solution development.  He has been recognized for effective training of reseller and OEM accounts, advancement of global deployment efforts, and success with custom product development.

Not comfortable in warmer weather, Bruce finds himself at ease in today's (cool) climate-controlled data centers.   He understands complete electrical distribution systems, from building point-of-entry through to cabinet-level power distribution units, and remains abreast of the latest technology that affects data center trends and Server Technology product deployment, including: domestic and international single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase alternating-current power systems, -48V direct-current power systems, redundant power architecture, and blade server power requirements.

Bruce studied mechanical engineering (w/ a minor in electrical) at the California State University at Chico and achieved an Associate of Sciences CIS degree at West Valley College.
